A little help for the un-initiated
The not so New Vista O/S
Hi everybody I've now moved on from using Vista as my default system to Windows 7 (click top right) but this site is still useful to show you some of the differences between Vista & XP (don't forget a lot of things are still the same in XP so look at the XP site for more help with the basic Windows O/Ss).
The first thing to say about Vista is Wow on the graphics.
To run these graphics though I've had to upgraded my video card to a 512mb DDR3 Sapphire HD which supports HDMI & DVI outputs, my CPU to Intel "Series, 3 Ghz, 64 bit dual core 45Nano-Metre chip and 4 Gb of DDR3 memory and it runs really fast but all this upgrading has cost me €500+ . I have managed though to sell on my old memory chips etc. So net cost is probably nearer €280
